St. Louis Fusion LogoSt. Lous Fusion Volleyball Club was established in 2005 and is dedicated to advancing the personal and athletic development of youth through the pursuit of excellence in volleyball.

As a club our goal is to create and support a program that has a profoundly positive effect on young athletes within the context of competitive volleyball. We help young athletes develop “life” skills by teaching them to set difficult, but achievable goals. We assist young athletes to achieve these goals by fostering in them and in ourselves a personal commitment to support each other through positive encouragement and work as a team to build character, self-esteem and a winning attitude, which requires diligence, perseverance and discipline.  We recognize that coaches, athletes, parents and members all benefit from being committed to a progressive club that has a continuity of purpose and that pursues excellence.

The St. Louis Fusion Volleyball Club wishes to compete at the highest levels at regional and national tournaments. Each team is looking for players who are dedicated and committed to the sport of volleyball whose ultimate goal is compete at the collegiate level.  The various STL Fusion teams have finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd throughout the season at various tournaments, both locally and in other regions.

St. Louis Fusion is a 501(c)3 organization and is authorized by the IRS and Missouri to accept tax deductible donations.

STL Fusion teams practice 1 to 3 times per week and usually attend 2 to 3 Gateway Regional tournaments per month.  The teams may also travel to tournaments in cities across the nation to compete in multiple day tournaments, such as, Friday through Sunday or Saturday through Monday.  Our teams have traveled to other states, such as, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee.

For the 2012 season we are planning on teams in the 11s through 18s.  Please check back often for more up to date information.

Budgets:

Player fees will vary by team and is primarily determined by the team’s schedule of competition and the number of players per team. Typically each player will make an initial 50 percent payment at the team registration meeting.

Final payments are determined by projected cost for each team and are due in January. Typical team fees range from $800 to $1700.  Team fees include: player and coaches’ registration and background waiver checks, tournament entry fees, practice gym rental, equipment, player uniforms, and club administrative fees. Coaches may be paid a stipend and will be reimbursed for meals and travel expenses at out of region tournaments.

Locations Used for Practice and Tryouts:

Green Park Lutheran School, Our Savior Lutheran, Community Christian Church, St. Johns Lutheran (Arnold), St. Johns Lutheran (St. Louis City) and other venues in the surrounding area.
